This is my 10th year at St Luke’s and during this time the school has improved year on year. Prior to my appointment in September 2006, the school went through a difficult period and faced many challenges. However, In March 2012 Ofsted graded the school as Good. We also received an Outstanding SIAS inspection (Statutory Inspection of Anglican School).
We are privileged to have a dynamic, dedicated staff team and supportive parents who work with a commitment to developing the learning of the children in St Luke’s.
Our philosophy for learning underpins everything we do. And our overriding Aim is to develop children who love to learn.

I began teaching at St Luke’s in September 2015 and I’m currently teach the lovely Team 1. I came to St Luke’s because of the Growth Mindset ethos, which underpins the school’s teaching and learning. As a teacher in Key Stage 1, I really enjoy helping children to develop a positive and determined attitude towards learning. It is a privilege to work with all the children in St Luke’s, and to be part of such a united and progressive team of teachers.

I began teaching at St Luke’s in September 2016 and was made to feel extremely welcome by all staff, pupils and the community. From the school leadership right through to all staff it is clear to see that there is a shared enthusiasm towards learning here, which makes this place a pleasure to be a part of each day. This attitude is reflected in our schools learning muscles, which create a progressive attitude in the pupils that will also equip them for the wider world. I am keen on fitness and spend some of my spare time playing badminton, table tennis and football.

My main reason for going into primary school teaching is perhaps common to many teachers:  a huge appreciation for many of the people who taught me when I was a child.  This sense of appreciation began towards the end of my secondary school education, and it was at this time that I decided to pursue a career in teaching.

My subsequent four-year BA Primary Education at the University of Patras further served to fire my enthusiasm.  It also prepared me effectively to take responsibility for a teaching role.  My undergraduate degree trained me to cover all primary level National Curriculum subjects (Literacy, Numeracy, Science, History, Geography and Art) and I have become familiar with many different teaching methods (direct instruction, collaborative teaching and project method).

To date I have accrued experience teaching year groups throughout KS1 and KS2.  I have planned and taught all core and foundation subjects.  I feel that I am a confident and detailed planner and teacher, creating and delivering exciting and innovative lessons that enable all children to achieve and enjoy.  I have particular strengths in Mathematics and in Art.  Mathematics is an area that I particularly enjoy and that’s the reason why I am currently doing my masters in “Mathematics Education” at UCL,  in order to extend my knowledge in this specific field.

I have been working at St Luke’s since June 2015 where I first started working as a Support Teacher in Team 5 and Team 6. I am excited to be teaching Team 3 this year and I am looking forward for another exciting academic year.

I started working at St Luke’s in September 2017. Since starting here I have been made to feel part of the family and ultimately that is what we are here. We unite together to improve the lives of the younger generation. In this one aim we promote two learning muscles, this is what makes St Luke’s unique the idea that anyone can achieve if we stay resilient and never give up. The children here are ambitious and vibrant all of whom have their own unique personalities and a desire to achieve. It is a privilege to be part of a diverse, well- supported, mutually respected, and like minded team of people.

I have joined St Luke’s supportive team since December 2015. I love working at this school and seeing the children develop socially, emotionally and intellectually. Languages are a very important part of a child’s education. I enjoy teaching them how to speak Spanish and learning about the cultural differences between Spanish speaking countries and United Kingdom.

I like Flamenco dancing and playing castanets. It is very rewarding to watch St Luke’s pupils curiosity and sharing my culture with them.

I am delighted to be working at St Luke’s as a support teacher for year 3 & 4. I finished my degree in drama and education, and knew straight after I wanted to work with young children. I am excited to be part of such a fantastic school that has a great ethos. I am learning so much from the ample amounts of experience the school has to offer. I have started an after school drama club for pupils at the school, where I can see the amazing talent and creative imagination the children have.
