Team 6 recently enjoyed an excellent, thought-provoking performance about road safety called ‘Deadly Distraction’, presented by ‘The Riot Act’ Theatre Company.
This highly engaging, multi-media theatre event was brilliant in promoting key road safety messages to our Year 6 pupils, focusing on the following objectives:
· Raising awareness of the danger of roadside distractions from music, phones and friends.
· Helping pupils to identify and cope with peer influence and peer pressure.
· Promoting safe, responsible and positive behaviour amongst students on the home to school journey
The pupils and staff loved the humour, music, energy and powerful message. Improving the road safety awareness of our 30 Team 6 children, the show encouraged the children to identify the effects of peer pressure and antisocial behaviour.
